A highly trained dog

Following on where we left (bowling) I decided to alight from the minibus in Holmfirth, (It had stopped first!). I was in good time to watch my son’s tennis lesson.
All went well, Judith collected Oscar leaving me to take square dog for a run and a paddle in the stream.
Square dog is normally an extremely well behaved pooch but I think that the sun has gone to her head, for half an hour I unsuccessfully attempted to get the greedy mutt back onto her. She much preferred sniffing around looking for food.
Luckily some friends came to my rescue.

This was second misdemeanour of the day, time for us both to refresh on
some training methods.

A new chapter

There has been a great deal of trauma within our family during the last seven years since my stroke. Judith and I have admitted defeat on our marriage. I moved out of the family home to a bungalow not far away, earlier this year. Judith and I remain friends and she is a great support. I intend to apologise for any upset that i may have unwittingly caused and restart my life ensuring that I don’t make the same mistakes again!  ,fe

Communication let me down!

Image
For quite a while now it seems as my life has been in turmoil. I have a great deal of difficulty showing  my emotions and this also expresses itself in written messages too.As a result of my stroke I suffer from emotional liability, (common in stroke survivors) not only do I find it difficult to hold my emotions, but I sometimes laugh when I’m upset. I can also shriek and cry hysterical too! I also spent a long time finding it impossible to communicate. After that I could only blink or nod my head, eventually I was able to use the e-frame. (This was awful to use, often I would spell it wrong or the user would forget what I was trying to spell out! On one occasion I was visited in hospital by a bunch of football friends, we were talking about football players and I was using the board to communicate but try as hard as they could they just couldn’t name the exotic sounding surname “YOURESATONMYLEG” It was a revelation progressing onto the computer that I operated with my eyes.
