Year of the ‘under’dog
The football World Cup seems to be going the underdogs way.
With many favourites going for an early bath, the route to Moscow doesn’t seem to be anywhere near as difficult as it could have been?
I must confess before the competition commenced, my England expectations were merely group qualification. They surpassed this by actually winning a penalty shoot against a weak Columbia, who had turned to dirty tactics.
I even managed a successful little bet, usually the most I would bet is £5. Pre tournament I had a fiver on France to win the competition .
However with Belgium 0-2 down to Japan the odds on a Belgium victory were very generous. So in a moment of madness I put on £50. A last minute goal gave Belgium a 3-2 victory and as a result gave me a £320 windfall, that will do nicely!👍🏻
