calm before the storm

The weekend is now here and with no rehab the time does go by quite slowly, it does give me a chance to concentrate on myself though.
I have plenty of administration and exercises to do.

I like to have fun with the staff though, I think they like to share a bit of banter too.

The unit is also the long term home for patient's from York with complex health needs. As I attempted to leave the building to go and have a coffee, the receptionist locked the doors as she must have thought that I was trying to escape.

When I returned it gave me opportunity to reflect with staff on the progress that I have made since my last visit. Just the fact that I feel confident enough to enter into unfamiliar situations alone (I miss my companion, square dog!) and then order a drink is generally a step forward.
